About This Career Opportunity

The Assistant Executive Director:

  • Is responsible to maintain a consistent level of quality services and innovative programming for older adults, including those with physical frailty and mild, moderate, or severe dementia.
  • Provides general supervision and continuous attention to program evaluation, development, and implementation of strategies and services.
  • Collaborates with Marketing staff and performs community outreach programs as needed. Makes visits in the community to interview and evaluate potential residents and conducts Community tours when necessary.
  • Develops and monitors program's operating budgets. Establishes and maintains a thorough knowledge of federal, state and local legislation and procedures relating to a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE), and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). Ensures on-going regulatory and reporting compliance for all programs.
  • In the Executive Director's absence, is expected to assume the responsibilities of the Executive Director.
Are You Qualified?

Here's what you need:
  • Four year degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of five years supervisory and administrative experience, inclusive of budgeting, program development and assessment implementation.
  • Minimum of two years experience in working with older adults. Knowledge about dementia and programs relating to caring for those with dementia.
  • Skilled Nursing experience strongly preferred.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Sensitivity and knowledge of working with older adults and the aging process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify need, develop, and manage programs and systems simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of aging process and implications of aging in a social setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, superb customer service skills and a team player.
