As a Business Intelligence Market Research Analyst II, you will create and implement primary research strategy (market research collected for the problem at hand), manage data collection efforts, develop surveys, analyze qualitative and quantitative data to support information queries, and manage databases.

  • You will create and implement primary research strategy for smaller and mid-sized projects within the agency, manage projects including partner and vendor management interaction, and perform data cleaning and editing efforts.
  • You will manage data by working with the other research personnel to create and own the primary and secondary research data base strategy and communicate, coordinate, change and consolidate the growing agency database.
  • You will monitor data collection efforts, survey completion rates, and adherence to specified sampling frameworks.
  • You will review and approve data collection related vendor invoices and prepare task orders for data collection efforts.
  • You will create data collection schedules and coordinate field researcher staffing with vendors.
  • You will manage the process associated with client query support and drive supporting material and database variable consistency and definition.
  • You will manage research activities working with the other researchers to create an effective strategy to collect, review and disseminate market intelligence across the agency on a daily basis.
  • You will systematically acquire, organize, and disseminate the collected information in the forms of links, reports, and newsletters to key decision makers across the organization.
  • You will provide internal client consulting in the form of answering questions through descriptive data analysis efforts.
  • You will create content for the Business Intelligence website and newsletter.
Qualifications

Two years of experience may be substituted for one year of education:
  • Experienced – You have two (2) years of experience working in a market research business or research environment.
  • Educated – You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Social Sciences.
  • Desired – We hope you have four (4) years of experience working in a market research business or research environment and/or M.A. in Business or Social Sciences.

  • Knowledgeable – You have an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly of MS Excel and PowerPoint, extensive knowledge and understanding of market research functions and sciences. You know how to interpret data, generate meaningful results, and produce a meaningful report using that data. Knowledge of SPSS and Qualtrics or SurveyMonkey is highly desired.
  • Logical – You are skilled in using reasoning in a way that allows you to come to a viable solution. You can accurately analyze a situation, make any connections between data, and use the information gathered to solve the problem.
  • Team Oriented – You can work with others to successfully create and manage projects from the beginning to end.
