The Commercial Billing Specialist serves as the primary entry point of all customer information into SABRE, and other various billing systems, Commercial Billing Specialists:
This position will be responsible for receiving Commercial order forms with the minimum order detail, and be accountable for interpreting and accurately entering these orders into the order entry system in a timely manner.
Must understand the rules and qualifications of all Commercial products, including but not limited to understanding when required documents are required and ensure accuracy of form completion.
Interpret incoming COBRA/RNW orders and administer creation of all orders into the billing/provisioning system.
Must understand, review and relay detailed information about ILEC/CLEC/Out of Territory Commercial product requirements and restrictions to Commercial Sales.
Possess an understanding of internal order processing and basic telecommunications in order to facilitate proper entry of billing data such as e911, LIDB, CNAM, PIC, Directory and other various billing data.
Must ensure incoming orders are accurate and complete.
Work with Order Coordination teams and Commercial Sales staff to understand orders and customer needs.
Identify system malfunctions and design flaws and notify support teams to take corrective action.
May occasionally require phone contact with internal customers to ensure customer needs are met and errors are being resolved promptly.
Support outgoing and follow up calling activity to verify order information that is required for accurate submission of orders.
Responsible for working with Commercial Sales, Order Management, Administrative Order Management, Carrier Service Center and other back-office provisioning teams to ensure that customer orders and requests are completed timely and accurately.
Care for tasks from both internal and external customers.
Utilize standard practices and procedures. This position will be able to perform each assigned function consistently regardless of which order type or geographical territory they are supporting.

Responsibilities
Apply technical knowledge of products and systems to enter ILEC, CLEC, and Out of Territory commercial orders into SABRE, and other various billing systems. This activity would include, but is not limited to, interpreting and verifying that all product and billing requirements as well as TSAs, Addendums, and Amendments, are met on the incoming order and reflected correctly in the applicable systems.
Understand and apply order entry rules and product sets and work with Order Coordination and Commercial Sales teams to make corrections.
Manage all Commercial Billing Only order activity between Commercial Sales and enter into the applicable systems, COBRA and SABRE.Manage multiple orders, tasks and follow up work that is time sensitive. Take necessary actions to update the billing system to ensure timely delivery and/or billing of services to customers. This includes but not limited to capturing order detail from SFA, RNW, COBRA, and MetaSolv.
Make outgoing calls or email as necessary for order placement or to communicate proactively with internal customers.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
1+ years data entry experience OR current military service, or prior military service with honorable discharge.
1+ years telephony experience
Must follow the TDS attendance guidelines to meet our customers' needs
Other Qualifications
1+ years experience using a PC with various software packages.
6+ months experience working with detailed data.
Experience working in a team environment
Must be able to type at least 45 WPM +
Manages multiple tasks and prioritizes well
Quality is absolutely critical. Detail orientation is key. Attention to detail in assembling and submitting access service requests and loop service requests
Ability to work well with variety of different people throughout the TDS team
Excellent organizational skills to monitor and prioritize multiple activities at once
Willingness to work and make decisions in a rapidly changing and uncertain environment

Must have a genuine desire for customer satisfaction.
Working knowledge of COBRA, MetaSolv, SABRE, RNW, SAG, MSAG and Crystal Enterprise, INAT, SFA, Service Availability, Bandwidth Portal, BMS, 911.net, SOA, VERIGATE, and IMA.
