Have a desire to help people through what is often a stressful event in their lives.
Minimum two-year veterinary experience in a customer service role.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently in a clear and audible voice.
A friendly and professional demeanor.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Basic understanding of medical terminology and veterinary services.
Schedule flexibility as we are open 24/7 serving our community. This position will be full time with a 3x12hour shift schedule.
Our Doctor’s Assistants work closely with our medical teams by guiding clients through their visit with Long Beach Animal Emergency (from history taking to discharging) helping to establish the foundation for a trusting and empathetic visit. Your responsibilities may include but not limited to:
Work closely with Emergency DVMs
Serve the critical role of being the liaison between doctors, clients, and patients
Communicate with clients, referring DVMs; and pharmacies as needed regarding appointments, medical concerns, patient updates, referrals, and prescriptions
