Your Role

As a Environmental + Motion Graphic Designer at Gensler, you will tap into your boundless creativity to design unique environmental experiences across a diverse media landscape. This role is not only a hands-on designer, but also a project leader, thinker, design advocate and client relationship steward for projects and relationship-building shared across our region. You must love to push new ideas, be passionate about design and get excited about managing extremely diverse projects and working with some extremely talented creative leaders. You are passionate about helping clients enhance their brand and business performance through design, and adept at developing creative, up-front design concepts. Join a team of thinkers and doers who help clients to express their story through graphic and branded communications. As the Environmental + Motion Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for leading design and collaborating with fast-paced interdisciplinary teams of architects, interior designers, graphic designers, illustrators, digital designers and more to deliver projects ranging from complex signage & wayfinding, branded environments to digitally integrated experience centers. You will also demonstrate exceptional vision, oversee projects from conception to completion, and ensure successful project outcomes. You would also be translating technical concepts, architectural ideas, and industry thought leadership into compelling messages and dynamic graphic storytelling. You would need to be well-versed in designing for animated and static creative and are comfortable providing supplementary assets as well as creating standalone content. Your work will span a diverse range of markets including aviation, education, entertainment, hospitality, retail, sports, industrial, and workplace.

What You Will Do

Work with a multi-disciplinary team of architects and designers to design graphics, branded environment, signage and wayfinding solutions that connect people to place for diverse client projects

Conduct research for the organizational, cultural and physical context surrounding a project

Generate multiple initial concepts and develop viable, documented design solutions that help solve a variety of problems for our clients

Integrate messaging, color, imagery, type and composition into two and three-dimensional built environments

Prepare final documentation and production-ready artwork for 3D/EGD, print, or digital applications

Collaborate with clients, design teams and other graphic designers across multiple industries

Your Qualifications

0-3 years of experience in brand strategy, print design, and environmental graphics with a professional degree in Graphic Design or a related field

Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, AfterEffects) and MS Office

Use of SketchUp, Revit, or other 3D modeling programs a plus

Working knowledge of motion graphics software or other skills related to designing for and creating dynamic content

Exceptional design sense - adept at developing creative up-front design concepts as well as having technical working knowledge in preparing final documentation and artwork for 3D/EGD, print, or digital applications.

Excellent communication skills and experience as the main point of contact for clients, vendors, consultants, and project teams

Ability to work in, multifaceted projects while exhibiting financial stewardship and adhering to demanding project schedules

Ability to work closely with design leadership across Gensler to promote an interdisciplinary design philosophy and to facilitate its advancement both inside and outside of the firm

Demonstrated success building, nurturing, and sustaining client relationships
