Department Overview:
The Human Resources Department is a critical area of the business that partners with our organizations leaders to support employees, shape our culture and enhance the overall employment experience. Human Resources works with all levels of the company to provide expertise in areas of employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, learning and development and conflict management. The Human Resources internship program at Pratt & Whitney offers the next generation of talent the opportunity to learn and grow with a company that has over 90 years of history.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn how a Human Resources team supports their business partners and the larger organization within a fast-paced, aerospace environment. You will support the Military Engines team with compensation analysis, recruiting efforts, process improvement methods, talent development, employee engagement strategy and understand the intricacies of our Human Resources systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Human Resources coverage and administrative processing as needed to various client groups that include but are not limited to Fighter and Mobility Programs, the F135 program, Sustainment Operations, Business Development and Centers of Excellence
Coordinate and support staffing activities.
Develop standard work for key Human Resources processes for managers and employees.
Partner with our Talent organization on employee and/or leader development initiatives.
Partner with our Talent Acquisition team to ensure exceptional candidate/employee experience throughout the recruiting and onboarding cycle.
Lead and/or support ad-hoc projects that align with organizational priorities in the areas of talent acquisition, talent development, and employee relations.
Additional responsibilities as required.
Basic Qualifications:
Currently must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in Human Resources, Business, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
Eager to learn and has a strong sense of desire to pursue an opportunity in the Human Resources field.
Proven experience in the following areas: Leadership experience in school or an organization, Ability to take initiative and be self-managed, Commitment to working in a fast-paced environment, Excellent written and verbal communication, Strong attention to detail, Ethical, ability to keep information confidential, A team player that wants to learn and develop their skillset
What is my role type?
In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. We’ve introduced role types to help you understand how you will operate in our blended work environment.
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
