The Democratic National Committee (DNC) Tech team is a diverse team that builds and delivers technology used by candidates and organizers in all 50 states and 3,413 counties across the United States to analyze data, organize campaigns, raise money, and get out the vote on election day! The role:

The Democratic National Committee's Tech team is hiring an IT Help Desk Manager to join our on-site support staff! Someone who can ensure that the Democratic National Committee runs smoothly from a technical perspective, and makes sure our staff can fight to win elections in every zip code. Help build, implement, and manage our workplace experience program while leading a small team of help desk professionals. Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting our staff across the country to solve their most pressing technical needs. We favor modern, cutting-edge technologies such as Okta, GSuite, Chromebooks, JAMF, and rely on automation, scripting, and security keys to keep our staff safe and productive!
  • Supervising, training, coaching and developing the HelpDesk team.
  • Updating and curating documentation to ensure our policies, workflows, and technical information are kept up to date.
  • Help IT Project Managers support long-term projects from start to finish, ensuring we don't get tunnel-visioned in the day-to-day tasks.
  • Managing procurement and inventory.
  • Managing escalations to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Communicating effectively with clients from both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
  • Assist and support events, such as All-Staff meetings, press conferences, and more as needed.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Help Desk Manager or Senior Help Desk staff.
  • Previous experience in politics is not required.
  • Basic knowledge of networking such as TCP/IP, routing and switching.
  • Experience with both computer and mobile device enterprise management systems.
  • Experience with ticketing systems including reporting and analysis.
  • Experience with technical project management.
Salary:

The starting salary for the IT Help Desk Manager position is $110,000 - $120,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is ineligible for overtime wages.
