Position Summary & Role

We are seeking talented, ambitious problem-solvers who are excited to help us deliver innovative market research and actionable insights.

The Lead Analyst, Market Insights will be an individual contributor helping our internal customers translate business questions, problems and issues into research objectives and well-structured deliverables using both quantitative and qualitative information from multiple primary or secondary sources.

The Lead Analyst, Market Insights will also have high comfort sourcing, manipulating, analyzing using basic tools (Excel, Tableau) and visualizing data via standard tools/charting methods, reporting, dashboards; ability to effectively present and defend analyses

Job Responsibilities

Market Research & Insights

Bring an in-depth understanding of the biotech and Manufacturing-as-a-Service industries and the ability to perform research towards specific or ill-defined questions from functions such as Commercial, Research, Development, and Manufacturing

Acquire and analyze raw data and create large and complex analytic datasets to support business needs, leveraging software tools

Create Visualizations and report to articulate technical results back to commercial and operations leadership in a way that is easy to understand.

Conduct strategic analysis to identify emerging market trends, competitive forces, innovation developments, and other key insights by Staying informed of current business and economic developments and other relevant information

Support the generation of comprehensive market, customer, and competitive insights for consumption by commercial leadership to guide both tactical and strategic decision making

Lead primary & secondary research analysis of news, publications, and industry events to provide original insight into market dynamics across the full product development lifecycle including drug discovery, process development, manufacturing, and commercialization, of innovating technologies and products

Support both the franchises and functional teams (ex: marketing, commercial, sales) to provide insights on entry strategies, pricing strategy, capability building, primary market surveys and research and how the assessment impacts the value chain

Preferred Experience, Education & Qualifications

Minimum of bachelors degree in biological sciences, engineering, computer science, mathematics; masters in biotechnology and/or related fields or MBA desired

7-12 years of clinical or commercial experience in the biopharmaceuticals industry or associated technology space

2-3 years Hands on experience in GMP facilities desired

Self-starter with flexibility to multi-task across several projects simultaneously, adhere to tight deadlines, and articulate and negotiate priorities

Ability to interpret complex business problems to technical problems, solutions and

actionable analyses

Ability to comfortably work with incomplete data and articulate confidence level with the analysis, insights, risk and outcomes

High comfort sourcing, manipulating, analyzing using basic tools (Excel, Tableau) and visualizing data via standard tools/charting methods, reporting, dashboards

Experience using competitive intelligence databases (

Comfortable in both technical and business writing and communication skills

Executive Presence – willingness/comfort in delivering and defending analyses/recommendations to senior management; ability to deliver succinct, effective messages both in verbal and written (i.e., executive summary) format

Familiarity with strategic analysis frameworks, and demonstrated ability to draw conclusions from datasets, identify implications, and derive recommendations
