Job Description My client is seeking to hire an additional Legal Assistant to work extensively with the attorneys and paralegals to help manage and track projects, compile closing files, review and track legal time and invoices and perform other important organizational and administrative functions. Responsibilities * Work closely with transaction, zoning and leasing attorneys to: o Compile and organize information for closings, meetings, document execution * Work closely with corporate and real estate attorneys and paralegals to: o Attend to general administrative tasks o Track information regarding real estate transactions and corporate filings o Track and compile closing documents, including signature pages o Scan, upload, organize and save documents to an in-house document management system * Draft cover letters * Prepare messenger, FedEx and UPS labels and track document receipt/delivery * Track and review legal and insurance invoices, billings and payments * Schedule meetings, transportation and answer phones Qualifications * At least 5 years of experience working as a legal assistant or project assistant in a law firm or in-house and preferably have exposure to commercial real estate and/or corporate law. * Strong word processing/computer skills MS Office 365 and Excel * Flexibility to work overtime on occasion * Excellent attention to detail and organization * Motivation and eagerness to learn * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality * AVIDXchange or other accounting/invoicing systems preferred * Clio or other legal time tracking systems a plus * Due Diligence platforms/portals a plus * Familiarity with iManage a plus Compensation Market competitive salary as well as a performance-based incentive.
