Job description
We are seeking a top-notch transactional legal assistant to join and support our close-knit transactional team. Our team handles M&A, financing, health care licensing and real estate transactions and other corporate governance issues for our rapidly growing, publicly traded healthcare organization.
Responsibilities:
Filing corporate governance or business license applications with various local regulatory approval agencies;
Coordinating due diligence process for a constant stream of acquisition opportunities;
Assisting with the purchase agreement negotiation process and gathering acquisition-related agreements;
Assisting attorneys with the signing and closing of transactions;
Providing administrative support to licensing and regulatory counsel;
Assisting in the real estate closing process, including the review of title and survey documents as well as leasing documents;
Performing general office duties such as typing, operating office machines, sorting mail, and recording and maintaining important documents; and
Assisting with other tasks as needed, such as entity formation, drafting board or member resolutions, organizing closing materials, miscellaneous data entry, etc.
Qualifications:
Transactional legal assistant/paralegal experience strongly preferred
Must have superior computer skills and be very comfortable with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
A team player who views no task as too big or too small
A willingness and ability to learn and understand complex issues and to follow direction
A highly-organized, reliable and detail-oriented individual who can meet important deadlines
A great sense of humor to learn and benefit from own mistakes and those of team members
High level of judgment and maturity and discretion in handling confidential issues
