About the Position
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for products being delivered to the customer in a timely manner at a reasonable
cost. He/she will be expected to address any concerns the customer may have with the shipment and will be directly
responsible for the transactions in the plant warehouse to satisfy the customer's needs for on-time delivery.
Responsibilities
Schedule transportation for finished goods.
Issue Pick tickets for upcoming orders and ship date approaches.
Assist in the coordination of order entry, schedule of ship dates, resolution of customer complaints/issues, and notification
of shipped orders with customer service or directly with the customer.
Daily management of pending orders and their status so customers can be kept updated.
Participate in objective setting, plan development, and performance review of plant performance.
Develop, monitor, analyze and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)/targets.
Controlling spending in relation to changes in production volume.
Drive and/or support key initiatives as agreed upon with the Plant Manager.
Work closely with Production Scheduling to maximize customer requested orders and dates while delivering on-time
products at standards that exceed our customers' expectations.
Assisting the Warehouse team and inventory control with off-site storage and all logistics it requires.
Work closely with the Quality and Customer service regarding customer complaints dealing with shipping.
Work closely with the Quality Department to ensure carrier compliance with established GMP, SQF regulatory
practices, and with customer compliance standards.
Skills and Requirements
A degree in material management, logistics, supply chain, or any related field is preferred.
Two years of general work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably inventory
Working knowledge in Microsoft Excel and other basic inventory software programs
Demonstrated success in forming interdepartmental relationships
Proficient in problem analysis and problem resolution
