Basic Purpose

To design and develop complex multimedia elements (graphics; animations; audio; video and print) and apply agile techniques to develop Interactive Multimedia Instruction; Web-based training, video-based learning solutions, and software simulations to support employee learning and development initiatives and business unit objectives across the organization. To create courseware to meet business unit training needs and enhance the employee learning experience. To provide multimedia services to help deliver key communications and enable greater productivity. Works independently. Uses discretion to modify work practices/processes. Adapt and learn new learning technologies and delivery approaches. Collaborate with a team of experienced developers and instructional designers to implement innovative and creative learning multimedia solutions. Conduct digital video production such as planning, taping, editing, sound mixing, design, compression, and output. Responsible for the production of highly complex, interactive multimedia presentations and web based training, created to present and clarify complex subject matter to diverse audiences. Applies specialized and/or broad knowledge and understanding of multimedia design to assess and interpret requests to develop multimedia elements to meet training needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business units and senior management to conduct needs assessment to support organization strategies, tactics, and learning solutions that support business unit objectives
  • Create reinforcement/promotional games and animations
  • Create dynamic instructional and training materials using current technologies including references and support tools that reinforce training, increase efficiency and help produce error-free work
  • Create original designs for product demonstrations, quick reference guides, fact sheets, executive presentations, brochures/catalogs/flyers, web designs, videos, and logos/icons
  • Design the graphical user interface; create and/or enhance images and video and audio formats
  • Develop and create print design and support materials including agenda booklets, banners and signage (branding), name tags, name tents, network maps, eGram announcements, etc.
  • Develop learning opportunities using advanced technology such as; wizards, advanced actions, animated videos incorporating voice acting
  • Perform pre-production work to include developing video concepts, collaborating with writers on storyboarding, and scouting and preparing site locations or studio environment
  • Plan and perform video post-production tasks which include, reviewing footage, digitizing and tape logging, making editorial decisions, video and sound edits, rough cuts, audio mixing, color correction, and final finishing
  • Proactively work with internal clients and other business areas to create project plans with clear objectives, detailed tasks, accountabilities, timelines, and estimated budgets/corporate impact
  • Provide consultation surrounding technical and design guidance
  • Provide guidance to developers, designers, and third party vendors in content creation consistent with Navy Federal's standards and business objectives
  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting
  • Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions that align with business goals
  • Collaborate with a wide range of internal business contacts to implement processes, new applications an system enhancements
  • Conduct and/or facilitate user acceptance testing to include developing and executing test cases, communication with project teams, validating and documenting results
  • Ensure clear, concise and effective communication of material
  • Maintain and improve knowledge through professional associations, conferences, and seminars
  • Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines across a broad variety of product categories and audiences
  • Monitor assigned projects to ensure that goals and objectives are completed according to schedule; collaborate with project teams to ensure all business needs are met
  • Provide input into best practices for the respective business area
  • Serve as mentor/trainer and provide guidance and assistance to team members
  • Serve as subject matter expert regarding business functions, systems, policies and/or procedures
  • Serve on teams and task groups for projects/initiatives within the business unit &/or across the organization
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in developing graphical user interfaces
  • Extensive experience in managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
  • Extensive experience in multimedia development and production, preferably in a corporate setting
  • Extensive experience in providing direction and guidance for multimedia projects from a conceptual phase through implementation and in the completion of design and production projects/processes
  • Extensive experience in recording/editing audio, video, and digital photographs for e-Learning courseware and other media formats
  • Extensive experience in working and participating in cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects
  • Advanced knowledge of Web User Interface Design (UI), Web User Experience Design (UX), general web functions and standards
  • Expert knowledge of media principles, including an understanding of the uses and advantages/disadvantages of different media channels
  • Advanced research, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Advanced skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions
  • Advanced skill guiding and training less experienced staff
  • Expert analyzing and resolving design problems with unique and creative solutions
  • Expert converting complicated written processes into interactive web-based applications for use in a fast paced production environment
  • Expert database and presentation software skills
  • Expert organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Expert skill capturing and translating processes and requirements into easily understood terms
  • Expert skill communicating with all levels within an organization
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills

Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM (flexible)

Salary range:

$32.50 to $41.00 Hourly

*Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report onsite 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting onsite will ultimately be determined by the employee's leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and onboarding process.
