Job Summary:

The Pilot CO-OP Intern is responsible for formulation, process development, and scale up projects in the Pilot Units.

Responsibilities:

  • Operations – Performs all functions necessary for pilot unit production
  • Engineering Assistance - Provides engineering and technical assistance to plant operations, and assists with the collection of technical data and the planning of capital projects.
  • Quality – Collects, analyses, and reports data related to all of the pilot campaigns
  • Waste Treatment and Disposal - Disposes of all solid and liquid pilot unit waste
  • Maintenance – Maintains and repairs all pilot unit equipment as required
  • QA/QC - Performs QC testing on raw material samples and production samples
Qualifications/Desired Skills:
  • Must be a Chemical Engineering student, and have completed a course on the Fundamentals of Chemical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and communication skills. Basic math, verbal, and written skills are required. Knowledge of chemical names contained in formulas and finished products is preferred.
  • Reliable, creative, flexible, self-motivated achiever with the ability to make judgements and work as a team member.
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
