Job Description

The role of Applications Developer is a critical role to ensuring reliable and effective support of enterprise applications to the organization. This position will report to the Manager, IT Application Development.


  • Responsible for the design, development, testing, debugging, maintaining, and documenting software components in accordance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.
  • Create technical system documentation and ensure that this documentation remains current throughout all phases of the SDLC
  • Participate in the application technical design process and complete estimates and work plans for design, development, implementation, and rollout tasks.
  • Familiarity with a variety of designs, languages, and methodologies (e.g. SQL, ORM, J2EE, RabbitMQ, Microservices, Agile and Scrum)
  • Competence and comfort using multiple frameworks (e.g. Angular 2/4/5, React)
  • Test completed software and debug as necessary
  • Team oriented, yet able to self-motivate and direct.
  • Must be comfortable providing support and maintaining code written by others.
  • Familiar with web servers running Linux and Apache.
  • Willingness to learn other technologies as determined by the direction/vision of the company.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years as an applications developer in an enterprise team environment with experience on one or more of the following: JavaScript, Python, Node.JS, Java Spring Boot, AngularJS, ReactJS
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and MySQL.
  • A strong working knowledge of Restful services, SOAP, microservices
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems, Linux command line, Kubernetes and docker containers
  • Working knowledge of web-based delivery techniques and technologies.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
