We have been asked to identify Tax Analyst that is interested in a role with an internationally renowned Company. This person will work closely with the Management offering a strong level of exposure. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-profile collaborative environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Tax Analyst reports directly to the Tax Director and is primarily responsible for Property Tax for multiple state and local jurisdictions. The property tax analyst will be responsible for the effective management of the real estate and business personal property for over 200 managed and owned properties. Strong Excel skills.
Prepare and assist with all aspects of property tax compliance.
Process real estate and personal property tax payments, and appropriately post to general ledger.
Prepare the annual property tax budget for managed properties.
Assist property accountants in analyzing property tax and budgets
Accrual postings and answering questions around property tax postings.
Resolve tax notices received from state and local tax jurisdictions.
Understand the difference between prepaid, accruals, and expense accounts and how they relate to property tax.
Begin and complete tax research projects, including the ability to present findings in a clear, concise, understandable written form. Research and draft technical memoranda.
Work collaboratively with external consultants regarding Real Estate and Personal Property Tax matters.
Support overall indirect tax team as needed with sales tax filings, business licenses, tax audits, etc.
Compensation Summary $33-$35 per hour commensurate
