Job Description
The Bosch-Rexroth R&D organization in Fountain Inn, SC is looking for a software engineer to be part of our North American functional bundle development team. The candidate will be responsible for developing software tooling to facilitate the development of embedded controls applications. This tooling includes integrated development environments, embedded device drivers and development toolchain setup and maintenance. Additionally, customer on-site training will be required with an average of 10% travel nationally and internationally.
Qualifications
Essential Duties & Responsibilities may include the following
· Develop software tooling to improve the experience of creating application software for Rexroth RC40 controllers
· Identify pain points present in the development process and solve them
· Maintain and improve development toolchains for embedded C and C++
· Identify development activities that can be automated and create scripts or programs to automate them
Required qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or with emphasis on controls
· Minimum 3 years of experience developing desktop software in any language
· Knowledge of build systems for C and C++
· Knowledge of Python scripting (Python 3)
· Excellent analytical and organizational skills is an absolute must
· Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
