To perform billing (debits and credits) in FTN's transportation system for assigned or centrally billed transportation accounts. Manage and complete the financial reconciliation of vendor invoices to costs from the transportation system, audit carrier invoices and approve for payment by Accounts Payable. Proactively leads & guides team members ensuring timely and successful achievement of all operational objectives for the unit (or work group).
Review file for accuracy and completeness and verify in a timely manner in accordance with policy.
Completes intercompany and/or customer billing in timely manner in accordance with FTN policy for revenue recognition. Generate purchase invoice and/or accrual for all expenses/costs on shipment.
Audit files to ensure service provider invoices coincide with agreed rates with account.
Ensure invoices and file verification process are completed timely and accurately.
Work with department supervisor/ manager resolving discrepancies and /or open balances concerning dept service providers invoices/statements as needed.
Audit amounts billed to customers against the amounts paid to vendors.
Determine credit or loss and responsible for adjustments.
Monitor assigned accounting reports
Work directly with Regional Service Provider's (RSP) and FTN offices to ensure agreement of profit & loss (P&L), and payable and receivables.
Issue supplemental, adjusted invoices, 3rd party billing as required
Coordinate with FTN's Finance and Int'l Finance departments to resolve financial disputes.
The incumbent(s) of this position is expected to perform all other related duties as assigned. This job is specific to Transport & Brokerage.
Review end to end shipment for accuracy and upon verify completion.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED required.
Minimum of 3 years of logistics required.
Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience required.
12 months in a position of support or leadership role required.
General knowledge of accounting, including understanding of debits and credits required along with the ability to read, understand and analyze accounting reports.
Knowledge and familiarity with FTN transportation operations desired.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Handle high volume of time sensitive work.
