GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Implement controls and evaluate actions required for compliance with the company’s project revenue recognition accounting process under ASC 606. Interact with project managers, finance managers and general managers to process bookings and billings. Perform regular and special analysis (such as reviews of organizational billing practices) to ensure invoice accuracy and proper revenue recognition. May be required to analyze third party payments and verify compliance with contractual terms, fee schedules, or other formal agreements. Complete all required month-end close activities including revenue reconciliation and management reporting. May work with legal and sales personnel in reviewing revenue contracts to ensure adherence to company policies and resolve any revenue issues. Collaborate with IT to ensure projects are closed out properly. Assist and collaborate with Operations and Contracts to drive down Unbilled Revenue balances. Provide support and coordinate revenue related items with external auditors. Provide ad-hoc support to the Corporate Accounting Manager and other members of the general ledger accounting team. Some travel may be required.
SOFTWARE:
Microsoft Dynamics (“DAX”) and/or Microsoft D365 FO a plus
Intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft Excel required
JOB COMPLEXITY:
Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Network with senior personnel and external stakeholders and ability to work with multiple levels of the organization.
SUPERVISION:
Report to the Assistant Corporate Controller
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years of related experience with an Accounting or Finance Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s business degree; or equivalent work experience will be considered.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises
